I just can't believe these lovely trails and spots that we found in our next-door city, Hayward, CA!! I don't know how we've lived here all of our lives and never come across these places before! Hayward is full of businesses and homes....you don't just happen upon spots like this very easily there! It was like we were totally in the woods! This trail was down in a canyon, with homes up above lining the canyon ridge! It was so peaceful and quiet! Had such a great day exploring these new (new to us) and local spots!! :)

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

This incredibly beautiful capture beckons one to walk across the bridge and into the woods beyond. Lovely work, Laurie.
